The Confessions of an Economic Hit Man John Perkins Chapter Six Selling My Soul

In this chapter, John talks about the men he worked with on his first assignment. One particular man really hit a nerve with him. As Howard read John and their workmates perfectly. "You're all in this for the money". During their first conversation with John and Howard, Howard made it clear he wasn't going to conform. 'You've sold your soul' came up in the conversation. John was reminded of the warning Einar and Charlie gave him about Howard being stubborn and mean. I really don't think the man was vindictive. Rather he knew right from wrong and wouldn't compromise on that. My hat is off to Howard.  Unfortunately, Howard fell ill and had to go home. Back to his home sweet hell with his wife, he couldn't stand being in a house 24/7. The reason he took this assignment in the first place. John was haunted by Howard's words. As John lay down for the night he had a realization, that the stubborn old man was going to do what he wanted. John...

The New Confessions of An Economic Hit Man by John Perkins Chapter Five Saving a Country From Communism

In this chapter, John got a look at what third-world poverty really is. He came face to face with the reality of what corporatocracy does to nations. You have a few with every luxury life has to offer and next to them is absolute poverty. Hoovervilles. Shacks that are barely standing. A strong guff of wind will knock them down. John had seen classmates in New Hampshire come to school in tattered clothes and shoes held together with willpower alone. Indonesia was a whole other level. During his first night at the Intercontinental Hotel in Jakarta, he was at a meeting on the hotel's top floor. It was luxurious. Compared to what the citizens were having. John acknowledged that these big corporations fund colleges, so no. Professors are paid not to warn students what macroeconomics really is. And what it does to people who aren't on the top of the pyramid. Macroeconomics makes the rich richer and the poor even poorer. This should've been a moral awakening. No…

Chapter 4 Indonesia: Lessons for an EHM

Schools out! Seriously, John's lessons with Claudine are completed and so is his marriage. The time John spent in Ecuador with Ann is going to pay off in a big way. His career is about to take an unexpected turn in a luxurious and glamorous way.  Before John was to ship out to Indonesia, Claudine gave John one last lesson. DON'T EVER TALK! Never ever talk about what he does for a living in detail. Vague answers like "secure deals for electrical plants" was all he was allowed to say. Then she welcomed him to the elite oligarch circle of Economic Hit Man. They had dinner then he went back to his separate apartment. https://youtu.be/ImsxzWrk3Rs

Brown Out vs Black Out: Which is More Livable?

We’ve seen numerous articles over the last couple of weeks about “controlled outages”.  We’ve been told about Brown Out vs Black Out but none of the news companies haven’t really explained very well what the differences are. I know I didn’t know there was a difference. So here like I said in the Hurricane 2022 video, we will look at and examine the differences.  Brownout - Partial electric.  Think of it as the company rationing electricity. According to the article, I will share that gives an easy-to-understand explanation, electricity is cut from 10% to 25%.  Blackout - Total darkness. Nothing works.  So which one is more livable. I would say Brownout would be more livable. Hell, it’s how we currently live. We don’t use the air conditioner unless it’s 85 or higher. Not happening. I don’t use the oven until Fall.  https://youtu.be/uBjFpJ4QY2c References Brownout vs. Blackout: What's the Difference? (2021, March 24). NEC Co-op Energy. Retrieved June ...
