Two New Homemaking Books

 


First I want to start by welcoming new folks who have subscribed. Thank you and welcome. I have been getting books for homemaking for future reference. I am going to share them and review them for you. I did get them on Amazon. 


First, The New Homemade Kitchen is an excellent resource. It is produced by The Institute of Domestic Technology. I didn’t even this institute existed. I am glad it does. There are no more Home Ec classes in high schools anymore. You can take an economics class, some schools offer fashion designing and there are some that offer a culinary program. I did take time to check out the institute and if you live in Los Angeles I would say check it out. The classes are fair. Considering the knowledge you are getting I think the prices are fair. 


The second book is Household Wisdom by Stephanie Donaldson. This book is another wonderful addition to a homemaker’s arsenal. She covers everything in here. If it has to do with homemaking it’s covered. There are even recipes for personal care of skin. Bathing infusions and my favorite were the jam recipes. Of course, are you surprised? I doubt it.

Reality Check

  This video is straightforward. There is no dancing around the bush. If you’re offended by profanity, don’t watch it.  Trump’s Certification Let’s start there. This should show people that the event in 2021 was staged chaos—nothing more. Since 2001, spontaneous access to federal government buildings has been a thing of the past. Who Gets To Run For Office?

  Have you ever wondered why some people in America are eligible to run for an office like the Senate or President, but others who might be more qualified are not ? I have been wondering about this. Let’s first examine the cost of running for a national office. Before we get started, let's look at what the base cost was to run for an office in 1915, right before the Federal Reserve was established.  The Senate seat was $2k up to but not exceeding $10k.  Presidential $5k to $10k. You see the difference. The average American could afford to run before the Federal Reserve was established.  The most expensive state: Texas is hands down the most expensive state. Coming it at  $199,959,917. This is insane. It takes almost two million dollars to run for a Senate seat in Texas.  The least expensive state was a surprise, considering what it’s known for: Nevada.
