What I'm Thankful For

We have one full month left of 2022. It's time to stop and seriously take stock of what we have to be thankful for. I'll go first.


  1. Family. I have so many people in my life who I love dearly and return that love.

  2.  Roof over our head. We have a small apartment. It has numerous flaws. However, I am thankful for a roof over my head. 

  3.  Food security. At this time we are food secure. And I am thankful. There are so many people in America who are starving. 

In 2022, the world has seen so much chaos. It's hard to find the silver lining around so many dark clouds.

Reality Check

  This video is straightforward. There is no dancing around the bush. If you’re offended by profanity, don’t watch it.  Trump’s Certification Let’s start there. Who Gets To Run For Office?

  Have you ever wondered why some people in America are eligible to run for an office like the Senate or President, but others who might be more qualified are not ? I have been wondering about this. Let’s first examine the cost of running for a national office. Before we get started, let's look at what the base cost was to run for an office in 1915, right before the Federal Reserve was established.  The Senate seat was $2k up to but not exceeding $10k.  Presidential $5k to $10k. You see the difference. The average American could afford to run before the Federal Reserve was established.  The most expensive state: Texas is hands down the most expensive state.
