Last month, I shared my journey to reclaim my Godly femininity. Quick run down for those who are new. In 2013, my relationship of twelve years crashed and burned after he decided to be a full-time abusive alcoholic. I decided I was not going to subject our daughter to that chaos. After that, I spent eleven years raising her on my own. At some point I lost that part of me that enjoyed painting my nails, wearing a dress or skirt, and having my hair done.
Flash forward to now. I no longer have to balance mom and dad roles. I can get back to being the woman who enjoyed an occasional manicure and/or pedicure. And taking time to do my hair. Honesty moment: I haven't worn a dress in public in years until my daughter's 21st birthday. Yeah! I haven't worn heels in a long time. Okay, heels are more about seduction. I prefer being barefoot anyway. It'll be nice not to have to worry about fire ants. YEAH!!!!
Let's talk about the wardrobe of a Godly feminine woman.. I have more leggings and graphic tees than I care to count. I know this must change. Baby Steps! I am gradually switching over to a Godly feminine wardrobe. Last month I purchased a caftan. I haven't seen these in years. I was a small child when they were popular in the 1970s. But they are back in vogue here in America. In Arabic and African countries, they have always been in style. Check out Pinterest and see the beautiful caftans there. These folks make the most beautiful caftans ever.
Here's where I will share videos which I am learning a lot from. These young ladies have the modesty thing down. As a young woman, I had a nice physique and didn't have a problem showing it. At 52, I realized how foolish that was now. Given the quality of guys attracted to me was yuk… Now, I am more interested in attracting a MAN who is the kind of husband material God intended him to be.
