Common Sense Topic: Public School Disaster Part 3
In part, two we established the fact our children are being turned into minions to work whatever job the public school and labor department decide they will be needed to fill after they graduate high school. In addition the labor department and schools keep a running log on our children to see how they are conforming to the curriculum which has dumbed down to the point a parrot could do it. In addition, I got into charter schools. I moved my daughter to a charter school for the smaller classrooms and one on one time kids get in charter schools.
Oh no! Kids are thinking critically and creatively. These kids have not been taught to think at all, never mind critically or creatively. No the focus has been on teaching them to conform. Of course, the next step for public schools, they failed these kids once already, are now in a situation where the same kids they wrote off, because of the social economic class and education of the parents, have excelled beyond what was expected of them. The kid whose parents was told little Raul will be never be a straight A student, is now a honor roll student along with recognition from community clubs like Kiwanis. Little Raul also has academic accomplishments on the state and regional level. However, wait, according to his elementary school principle, little Raul was not supposed to be this smart. His parents are immigrants, who work in fields picking fern for flower arrangements as well as local crops. Neither of them finished school never mind college. Their insurance is Medicaid and they buy most of their groceries with food stamps. The difference was a charter school who taught Raul, and teachers who believed in Raul, even when little Raul doubted.
Here is the problem for administrators, is that students in charter schools are taught the academics they need for college. Not so much conforming. Okay! These kids do ware uniforms, which I am a fan of. Simply because the uniform does not single a kid out who can’t afford the $50 to $200 jeans. The uniform forced kids to focus on academics not fashion. This will be an advantage with virtual school. Back to the teaching differences in traditional school and charter school. Not that we established the fact charter schools teach academics, critical and creative thinking is nurtured. Traditional schools teach collectivity and focus on dumbing down curriculum in favor of conformity.
As I said in part two, schools are teaching our children to conform and show complete blind obedience. Therefore, what are public schools to do? Well, there is a race to shut down and push charter schools out of business. Make no mistake, education is a business. Just like medicine has become a business. When I went to school in the late seventies until ninety-one when I graduated, being a teach was a calling. Now it is just heard the drones in and focus on the kids whose parents are doctors, lawyers, and general pillars in the community. Okay! It was like that when I went to school. Of course, some things have changed though, like there is no special education. It’s now called Individual Education Plan. Individual? Think dumbing down information. They have painted with some pretty colors. A jackass in a dress is still a jackass. This video will be available in about two to three days at http://youtu.be/XqX7n1GmdrY.
