Quick review of parts one through three. In part, one we reviewed where the model for our public school education came from. In part two, we established the fact the government is designing a curriculum for “human resource” known as our children will be ready for the work force they decide each child should go into. In part three, we looked at the difference between charter schools and public schools along with why charter schools evolved. In addition, why they are still needed.
In this part we will examine special education or at least what is being passed off as special education. This has been stripped down and rearranged. Now schools get the say of which students are tested for learning challenges. Of course, this goes by each county here in Florida. In other words, the schools and government get to decide the fate of our children.
When my daughter, Ani was in third grade, the first time and her last year in traditional public school, she had a teach who openly expressed frustration with my daughter in front of her classmates. Her second year in third grade was different. I moved her to a charter that was up the road from the public school. She had a wonderful teacher, which was in the last year of a thirty-year career. She helped me screen my daughter for ADHD. I found out that I had the right to get her screened for this by her physician assistant. We found out that does have ADHD. She helped my daughter be caught up with the other kids.
Now that public schools have realized how useless the old special education systems was, they dressed it up and divided it up. As I said at the end of part three, a jackass in a dress is still a jackass. Florida has (ELL) English Language Learner and (IEP) Individual Education Plan. Instead of having the embarrassment of being pushed aside in a separate classroom, the teacher comes to the student. That is if the homeroom teacher is not qualified to do the plans above. Now special education has changed in structure only.
To wrap this up our schools are a disaster. It by-no means are the fault of the teachers. Educating kids is the job of teachers and parents equally. The administrators and government who are creating an epidemic of stupidity that will work their advantage. We are on the verge of becoming mindless drones or “chosen stupid”. On the other hand, as Mrs. Charlotte Iserby is right. We are creating a nation of Marxist Communist and socialist. (Iserby, n.d.) I may not agree with her on the charter school issue, but a lot of what she has said in her videos is right on point. This video will be available in a couple of days at https://youtu.be/fRuJmFJZLWM.
Therefore, with that my next topic will be Anarchy vs. Tyranny!
