Common Sense Topic: Flint Michigan Water Supply

Before I get into this topic let us look at some numbers:

I grew up knowing Michigan as the state as the home of: Lions, Tigers, Cherries, Blueberries, Apples, Iggy Pop, Ted Nugget, and Bob Seger, Mo-Town, Big Three, And yes, Detroit Rock City.. KISS Reference.. Now we will know Michigan as the above and lead filled water.
Up till my daughter and I moved up here, I didn’t know about the water situation in Flint. It is as if the lame stream media does not give a damn unless something effects them personally. Not even Morning Joe talked about the situation in Flint. Oh, I have not forgot the heroin addiction problems here. Or as the lame stream, media sugarcoats it “Opium Addiction”.
The fact is Governor Snyder set back and let this disaster happen. The water looks like it should come from a third world country. It was brown and look like diarrhea. Governor Snyder expects people to drink, cook, and bath in this water. During the 7th GOP Debate last Thursday the situation was barely even spoken about. It was as if they didn’t want to go into the details.
I do not know what else I could add to this besides to keep this situation in mind during the next governors election because I will remember it when I see Snyder’s name on the ballet.

  Have you ever wondered why some people in America are eligible to run for an office like the Senate or President, but others who might be more qualified are not ? I have been wondering about this. Let’s first examine the cost of running for a national office. Before we get started, let's look at what the base cost was to run for an office in 1915, right before the Federal Reserve was established.  The Senate seat was $2k up to but not exceeding $10k.  Presidential $5k to $10k.
