Today was the first day of my daughter's driving school. I can't believe that baby I brought home 15 years ago is starting to prepare to drive.
I am not so much concern about rather or not she is ready for the responsibility, rather I am concerned about the other drivers. People don't drive like they use to when I was learning to drive about thirty years ago. We didn't have cell phones and parents were allowed to hold their teens accountable.
Now people are so self-centered and they don't care about the other drivers around them. This worries me. However, in the state of Michigan kids have to go through a process with graduated licenses. They have to drive so many hours before they get each section. I am happy about that. The curfew is 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. They can drive to and from work or school events.
This should be the status quo across the country.
