Once in a while life throws us a bone in the form of an opportunity. This doesn't happen very often but we should make the best of the free opportunity when it arrives.
However, rather through ignorance or arrogance, we pass up an opportunity. This is what is happening with sites like Steemit with their DTube site. DTube if you don't know is similar to YouTube. These two sites have a golden opportunity in front of them. That is to replace Twitter and/or YouTube.
The structure is similar to their competition. However, I don't know why they're not capitalizing on the opportunity. Trying to upload to DTube can be a pain in the ass. Seriously you have set for a couple of hours trying to figure why it won't upload your video. I occasionally try but not that often.
Steemit is easier to use than DTube. You put your post with its title and keywords then press post.
Easy does it. The thing that concerns me is the opportunity which Steemit is passing up with DTube. Really. They have some good channels there and the potential to be better than YouTube. But they are kind of like the hippies in the 60's. Setting in the park and hanging out.
The consequences for not capitalizing on an opportunity is you fall behind and eventually disappear. It would sad to see Steemit and/or DTube to just disappear because of their own laziness.
