People In Our Lives

Sometimes the Heavenly Father brings wonderful people into our lives.

Recently we were hit with a polar vortex and it just killed the battery in my car off. I have a friend of mine who I talk about everything with. She and her husband have three kids under twelve. Over the week they offered to help me out with the cost of the battery. Then I could pay them back the next day. This was money out of their rent they were going to help me with.

I haven't had anyone in my life in years who would do anything like that for me. It touched my heart to the point I almost cried. Seriously I never would have asked them for the money. I just wouldn't.

It's times like this you know how wonderful people in your life are. These are the people you thank Heavenly Father for bringing into your life. And you make sure you can keep them in your life.

  Have you ever wondered why some people in America are eligible to run for an office like the Senate or President, but others who might be more qualified are not ? I have been wondering about this. Let’s first examine the cost of running for a national office. Before we get started, let's look at what the base cost was to run for an office in 1915, right before the Federal Reserve was established.  The Senate seat was $2k up to but not exceeding $10k.  Presidential $5k to $10k. You see the difference. The average American could afford to run before the Federal Reserve was established.  The most expensive state: Texas is hands down the most expensive state.
