As I sat last night watching the SOTU I had to ask myself "is this a speech or a mucking session"?
Let me start by saying that I do agree with the One-Step legislation will get inmates who are serving stupidly long terms for non-violent drug convictions. It's stupid that people have to serve anywhere from 20 years to life sometimes for less than a gram of cocaine. I have said before we need to refocus that money to treating people on drugs and/or selling them. Get to the core reason they are engaging in this behavior.
Now to make sure people start feeling guilty about those who survived the Holocaust. There was a gentleman who survived concentration camps because of the gentleman sitting next to him. Then there was a man who survived the shotting back in the fall in Philadelphia. Of course, he survived the Holocaust and the shooting. While I agree that hate should not exist, that is my point of view. I have no right to force it on others. Trump spoke against the anti-semitism here in America but said nothing about the neo-nazis in Ukraine which the Ukrainian President is cozy with. Either uphold it or condemn it. Make up your damn minds.
He made a point to bring a family to the SOTU who lost their parents to a violent illegal alien. What are the chances of that? Duh... 😝He went on to threaten to build that damn wall. Enough already. The wall is going to be to trap us in. Why don't people see this before it's too late? Just like the East Germans. And he had a gentleman who is an ICE agent whose family emigrated here from Dominica legally. That's great. He has made his family proud.
Also, he talked about a little girl who took her last chemo treatment back in the fall. He didn't talk about the fact there has been a link found between the vaccines our kids are forced to take and the cancers kids are getting. Back 2014-2015 there was several Natural Health Doctors in Florida were murdered because if their findings had come out, people would have been screaming at the government and/or refusing to put their child through it.
The final dig was toward Bernie Sanders, Alexandria O. Cortez, and a few other senators who are self-proclaimed socialist. Trump said this would never be a socialist country. He's right. They are pushing us into a fascist state. A fascist state is far worse than a socialist state. The difference is, socialist countries often offer insurance to all of the citizens, housing (not private house), guaranteed full-time employment, and along maternity leave for moms. As Venezuela has done, they can also make family the center of their constitution. Fascism is pushed rather the people like or not. Has a wall which not everyone wants. Look at what Washington DC is doing to Venezuela. They have sanctioned them to the point of starvation.
