Common Sense Advice

This is going to be a quick post. Last Thursday during the daily back-patting session, Trump made an off-handed comment about the effectiveness of disinfectants and if they would work if consumed. I don't know if he realized that there are actually people in this country stupid enough to do this. Apparently, there was. There were calls to the poison control center regarding people who had actually done this very thing.


To make a long story short, there were people who actually drank bleach and tried to inject Lysol into their bodies. This is what happens when your leader is an idiot. Trump can build with the best (or worst) of them. He can set in an office while others bust their ass making him a billionaire. No question about it. But he isn't a doctor. Please take his sarcasm with a grain of salt.

Reality Check

  Have you ever wondered why some people in America are eligible to run for an office like the Senate or President, but others who might be more qualified are not ? I have been wondering about this. Let’s first examine the cost of running for a national office. Before we get started, let's look at what the base cost was to run for an office in 1915, right before the Federal Reserve was established.  The Senate seat was $2k up to but not exceeding $10k.  Presidential $5k to $10k.
