Over the weekend we saw some white house staff test positive for COVID-19. Then one of them tested negative twice. So who do we believe? Which test is right? Who knows and who cares? This is insane. According to Vox.com Trump was offered millions of masks back in January and he said: “No thank you.” He spoke on our behalf in the wrong direction. Y’all know where I stand on this COVID-19. There is a virus, it isn’t what we are being told.
Apparently, Trump has been a little glum because COVID-19 is killing his ratings. Along with the economy and jobs. Our jobless rate has hit 14.7%. It hasn’t been that high since the Great Depression. Why it’s called great depression is beyond me because it doesn’t seem so great… There is a debate on rather or not if we will get a second stimulus pay. The idea is $2k a month for everyone 16 +. What is the difference between a monthly stimulus and UBI, I have no idea? It’s the same amount. I do think my prediction about what it’ll take to get people out rioting is wrong. I didn’t figure the threat of hunger and starvation of children into that scenario. Nor did I figure the cost of meat going up so badly. Here is my thought, there will be rioting once people have to watch their child or children starve to death. The cost of beef (other meats) going up could also drive people out to riot if they don’t start getting quality employment. I mean employment with meaning to it. Something that makes a person feel like they are productive. No, insurances shouldn’t be tied to a job. Paid vacation and sick leave. Don’t forget paid maternity leave. We are lucky if we get twelve weeks. There are more developed countries where you can have a paid year of maternity leave. Once you have had a baby and recovered you will understand the year.
On a closing note, the governor of South Dakota has instructed the Sioux Tribe to stop checking people passing there their reservation. Here is the deal there is a major highway that runs through two Sioux Reservations. Here is the problem, Reservations don’t answer the state. The state has got to go through the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Being the US Department of the Interior's Bureau of Indian Affairs in Washington DC. Good luck and good ridings. Here is the thing they aren’t stopping people from using the roads. They are checking to see where they are coming from and only on the reservation section. These are simple checkpoints. Not many people said anything about the ones in Florida. Or Rhode Island. There wasn’t much said at all. But a reservation tries to protect their elders, oh well that is a tragedy.
