This is going to be a quick video and blog. Starting today Monday we are preparing to hunker down for the next 72 hours. Possible till Thursday. Prayer is going to be a huge part of this plan.
Make sure you have enough food, water, and pet supplies for the next 72 hours. Especially if you live in a large city like Detroit or New York. Be ready for anything that could come in your direction and the possibility you won’t have 911 to call. I am not fear-mongering. That isn’t what I am about. We are looking at possibilities of what could be coming out going into the selection on November 3.
Checklist:
Food. Make sure you have enough proteins and good carbs. Allow some sweets which is a good thing they went out Saturday.
Water. The general rule is a gallon per person and pet.
First-aid supplies. What is someone who gets a cut from kitchen prep? Do you have what you need to clean the wound and bandage it? What a triple acting antibiotic cream or gel? Having these things could help. I am not saying prepare to stitch them up if you don’t know how to do this. I don’t. Just be ready with basic first-aid supplies.
Security. What are you going to do for security? We keep our door locked all the time. I have a brown belt in Karate. I haven’t practiced in years that is going to be a major downside for me. I do have a ball bat and my neighbor has a 22 and she is old school gangsta. She has a variety of mental dysfunctions. So that’s scary in itself.
Communications. I haven’t purchased a ham radio. You can interact with people on one. I have been considering getting a CB radio. My late parents had one. For those of you who don’t know what that is, think of a texting service with a larger capacity. I do have a hand-cranked radio. I reviewed it and shared it back in the September preparedness series.
