We are currently discussing Iran everywhere. Yeah! Why is America so anti-Iran? John talks about the Mossadegh struggle. This was a CIA-backed and funded movement to put the Shah in office. They didn't care that he was a greedy narcissistic lunatic. He was "their greedy narcissistic lunatic." That's all they care about. After the late 1970s, the citizens of Iran hit a point where enough was enough. They seized control of Iran and sent the Shah packing with his family. Anywhere but in Iran. In the 1960s OPEC was formed. Iran was a part. However, after the citizens took ownership of their country and its resources back, they were kicked out. Thus an eight-year war between Iran and Iraq began. Ever since the OPEC nations and the CIA have been trying to control Iran's government. Sore losers!
Here's something I didn't know about until I read this book. WW II gave way to the World Bank, International Monetary Fund (IMF), and the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade. The 1960s was a shift from neoclassical economics to Keynesian economics. That was thanks to Robert McNamara. He was President of Ford till he became secretary of defense under President Kennedy. Google him.
In the last two paragraphs, John lays the disgusting spider web these depraved people run in. For Example; Richard Dick Cheney served as secretary of defense under George H. W. Bush while he was president and became Vice-president under Bush's son George W. Bush. Enron Cheney's launching pad. Before serving as President first Bush was President Ford's CIA Director.
