Chapter Sixteen Pimping, and Financing Osama Bin Laden

 This chapter starts out precisely as the pimping part implies. John had someone he knew would fulfill Prince W's wishes. Blonde, blue eyes, and gorgeous. She was legally married to a pilot who had his own extra activities on the side. We're all adults so let's leave it there. When the time came for the prince to return to Saudi he had one request: Sally becomes his mistress. In Saudi. This was a no go for her. John found out that this was a common practice. A prince or other high-ranking Saudi man would have numerous wives and a mistress at his expense. There were even brokerage firms for this service. A contract will be made between the man and the foreign woman. She lives in Saudi until he tires of her. Then she returns home very wealthy. 


During the 1970s this relationship between Riyadh and Washington DC would deepen and eventually come back to bite Americans on the ass. I am talking about 9/11. In 2003 a report from Vanity Fair came out with some details regarding the romance between Riyadh and Washington DC. John wasn't surprised by the relationship. He was surprised it made it to print.

Who Gets To Run For Office?

  Have you ever wondered why some people in America are eligible to run for an office like the Senate or President, but others who might be more qualified are not ? I have been wondering about this. Let’s first examine the cost of running for a national office. Before we get started, let's look at what the base cost was to run for an office in 1915, right before the Federal Reserve was established.  The Senate seat was $2k up to but not exceeding $10k.  Presidential $5k to $10k.
