Chapter 20: The Fall of a King

 This chapter opens with John being reunited with a classmate from Middlebury Farhad. In the decade they hadn't seen each other John looked the same. Farhad had put on weight. However, Farhad knew what John did for a living and had been sent to Tehran to get him out before the Shah fell. As he did in the days to come. By this time the Shah had shown his true colors. Farhad's father had been a General in the Iranian Army and even stepped between the Shah and an assassin's to attempt to kill the Shah. By the time they had their reunion, Farhad's father retired from the military and moved to Rome Italy. John learned more about what happened. 


The irony of the situation the Shah found himself in was that the Pro-Shah governments turned their backs on him after he was driven out of office. Even the American government turned on him. It was General Torijos who gave the Shah shelter. Seeing an opportunity, DC accused Torrijos of collaborating with the Shah. Yeah! General Torrijos put the Shah in office after deposing his father. Oh wait, that was us.

Who is Ahmed al-Sharaa?

  Ahmed was born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Wait! What was that???? Born in Saudi Arabia…. How the hell did he get to be president of Syria? A country that he isn’t even a citizen of? That is as insane as Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announcing he is going to be the president of America. Actually, I would welcome that. Since he is obviously smarter than any American Political puppet. At least we would be able to have our Christian values protected. There wouldn’t be an abortion clinic on every city block. And the sexualization of children would come to a dead stop. Veterans would be better cared for under Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. However, that will never happen, but I think you get how insane that is. I found that you have to be a natural-born citizen of Syria to be president of Syria.  Ahmed al-Sharaa was a member of Al Qaeda. You remember the pack of terrorists who attacked us on 9/11/. My question is, why is Al-Qaeda allowed to exist if they were involved in 9/11? ...

Feeling Ignored

  I didn't mean to ignore this site. I have been busy with the government shutdown, and I have to say, what a freak show. Let's break this down: 1. There is a budget. Once it's clear that we won't tolerate the freak show any longer, the budget will be put in front of us. Of course, it won't have an accurate date. The date it was actually signed.  2. What are we currently focused on? The shutdown. We are looking at the fact that Israel is attacking Iran, again, for having the very same thing they have: nuclear weapons. We also have nuclear weapons in America. We also have a nasty habit of using weapons of mass destruction. Dioxin was used in Vietnam; it was later called Agent Orange.  3. We are no longer demanding the release of the Epstein and Maxwell files. Of course, by the end of October, I am sure this will be in the headline again because one of the other party will bring it up.  4. Prices. The lamestream media isn't talking about the real prices.
