Weekend Canning Projects

This weekend I will be doing some canning projects.

I will be canning two number 10 cans of cheese sauce. For $9.00 at GFS (Gordon Food Service) for a can of cheese sauce, I can't make the amount that I can buy. Some sauce will be for snacking and some for casseroles.

One number 10 can of tomato sauce. Again for $4.00 can't buy the tomatoes process them and can them. There is just no way. So I will can them until I can get a house and have a garden to grow my own tomatoes. I am so looking forward to that.

Being as food independent as possible is my goal for 2019.  I am also going to work on some recipes for mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving.

Reality Check

  Have you ever wondered why some people in America are eligible to run for an office like the Senate or President, but others who might be more qualified are not ? I have been wondering about this. Let’s first examine the cost of running for a national office. Before we get started, let's look at what the base cost was to run for an office in 1915, right before the Federal Reserve was established.  The Senate seat was $2k up to but not exceeding $10k.  Presidential $5k to $10k.
