Homemade Butter! What???

Yes!!! Okay yes, I am way too excited about making butter. No doubt. This is so easy. I can see why ladies use to do this. Of course, they didn't have a stand mixer by Kitchen Aide. They had fantastic arm muscles because they had to churn butter by hand. NO thank you, I will keep my Kitchen Aide. This took me twenty minutes of rare hands-on time and they spent hours. Again, I will keep my Kitchen Aide. There are other ways to make butter by hand. You can put the cream and seasonings in a jar and shake it for all you are worth.  It's interesting to see videos of people sharing memories about watching their grandma make butter.  Don't get me wrong, I have memories of my Grandams that I would trade for anything. The image of her at the breakfast table with her make up on before anyone got up. Grandams' generation you don't go to the breakfast table without being put together. Fully dressed, hair did, and make-up on. Back to butter, when you first put the heavy crea...

How I would spend $1.5 trillion

Over the past week, Pentagon's budget report for 2020 came out. It's disgusting! $1.5 trillion to murder people who did absolutely nothing to us. There are better ways to spend that kind of money. How are the ways I would use that money: CO-OP Collective Housing I know how that sounds. Just keep reading and you will understand my thought. Image a situation where no one is homeless because they have an apartment which they own after 2 1/2 years to five years of living in it. Not just that one apartment. They have the ability to upsize to larger ones when they have children and downsize when their children move out on their own. They would own the right to live in the apartment complex because they are the board of directors as well. During the Soviet era in Russia, there were apartments which citizens could live in. The companies and the government usually owned the apartment complex and the employees lived there and paid for electric. The water was free and the amount of ele...

Makeover Leftover Meat

I have seen so many ways to use croissants on Pinterest and Instagram. I felt inspired to compose use of them. I took leftover pork tamale filling and stacked it with cheese on the croissant. Now I did have to press the larger end of the croissants out a little so the filling would fit. Then roll them up like a ball. Since I used a toaster oven, I had rotate them and add time. Here is the video, if you do this please post here or on Scratch Kitchen.  https://youtu.be/rlsFWpeoV6Y

Alora Benitez

I am happy to say Alora has been reunited with her family.  Below is a link to her poster. RECOVERED says it all.. It's because we cared enough to stop and notice her. Remember it's up to us to get these kids back with their families. https://www.instagram.com/p/B0ZE7cSjxyr/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet https://www.bitchute.com/video/mgjvONE6f2Mz/

Praline Syrup

Happy Saturday y'all! I did this video Thursday and since I was happy with the timing of the sections, I decided to use it. The thing I will do differently next time is I'll use smaller jars. The syrup came together fairly easy. I was really surprised at how quick it went. Now I am going to use it in a desert of some kind. I do have croissants in the fridge... They are a possibility also I have cake mixes as well. Then there is old reliable ice cream. This is why I try to keep at a vanilla ice cream of some kind in my freezer. Usually, it's Aldi's brand that is good. But I have so much heavy cream I received free from a local food closet so yeah I will be making ice cream soon. Is that something y'all would want to see? Let me know... Anyway, the link to a similar recipe will be below with a link to purchase the Ball Complete Book of Home Preserving through Amazon. No, I don't get a commission if you purchase it through Amazon. So feel free to search and se...

Pie Crust

I shared a pie crust recipe I found in Homestyle Amish Cookbook by Georgia Varroza. She also wrote my favorite canning cookbook. This recipe is excellent and versatile. If you have the book then it's in the desert section on page 225. If you don't have the book then don't worry I have your back. Below will be a link to a recipe that is very similar to the one I use. Also, I will include a recipe to make a bulk supply of pie crust. I will also share a link to my Instagram account where I shared how I used the pie crust. Recipes: A single crust can be easily doubled. https://www.food.com/recipe/amish-never-fail-pie-crust-433190 How to do a bulk pie crust session... https://www.sixfiguresunder.com/homemade-pie-crust-in-bulk/ How I used it: https://www.instagram.com/p/B0ZN9J1nPo6/ Video: https://youtu.be/kLxRcOxuuyE

Be in the world, not consumed by it

Romans 12: 1-2 makes it clear that we are to be in the world, but not of it. This is hard and I have fallen for the more stuff trap myself. I recently bought a cast iron pot not that I really needed it right now but because of the opportunity presented itself. However, I will be using it in Scratch Kitchen videos along with a stand-alone burner set which I plan on getting so I can do videos with better lighting. I looked at the burners and they didn't have great reviews from people who bought them. I will be getting lightbulbs and moving a floor lap in the kitchen. You see how easy that was right. I bought a cast iron pot which I could really use and then justified the purchase of stand-alone burners. So often we have a cell that works just fine. It does all the task we need it to do except training our Pomeranian not bark so much. But the new Android is so much better, except that one task we need to do personally, it can't do like train the Pom not to bark so much. Today I g...

Channel Update

The last two days I have been busy as a bee recording and trying to figure out the timing of recording segments of a video. Then trying to pull them together for a video with valuable information. If anyone out here does this kind of work, any tips you care to give will be appreciated. I will be doing a cooking plan video for tomorrow's Scratch Kitchen video and Anarchy Land will be Devotional Friday as usual. I do enjoy doing these devotional videos. I am not a scholar by any means. Just someone trying to live life the way Christ would if he were here. I will know tomorrow what I will be addressing because I don't pre-plan Friday videos. I just go with the flow which Christ has me go. Enough chattering below will be a link for today. Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jiG2ZlMxAP8&t=118s

Walnut Pie Filling

This pie comes from the recipe I found for Pecan Pie Filling from The Unofficial All-American Canning Cookbook by Sandra May. It's simple to do. If you don't have Clear-Jel than just make the filling then add the thickener when you are ready to use it. DO NOT use regular corn starch in canning. From what I understand corn starch can't survive the water bath process and breaks down. I adapted the recipe and switched the pecans with walnuts. It's just as delicious as the pecan version. If you make content for YouTube or any other platform, please feel free to leave tips about the timing of the videos. I am missing a couple of minutes and I don't know why. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xIjpMV7xHZA&feature=youtu.be

WOE and Questions to Think About

Two Videos

I decided to share a source I often use in hopes that others will start being aware of the children around them when they go out into public. We never know if a child actually belongs to someone or not if we don't take notice. This is a short video. I honestly have been trying to get Scratch Kitchen Supplied with videos. I have over two hundred videos on Anarchy Land and I want to build up Scratch Kitchen. I have a video I just did for Scratch Kitchen on making brown sugar. It's delicious. You will never buy it at the store again. I am considering doing a separate page here for Scratch Kitchen alone and keeping this one as my political satire. I will have to look into the policies of Blogger.com on having more than one page. I will include the link to both videos below Missing Child Monday   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6jvII2aI2Y8&feature=youtu.be Brown Sugar https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xib5skyyVhg&feature=youtu.be

Canning Cookbook Review

This blog entry is a result of watching my girl Heather Cohn at The Kneady Homesteader.  Heather is one of the people who inspired me to go back to cooking from scratch hence Scratch Kitchen. This morning I saw a video Heather did about two canning cookbooks which didn’t meet her expectations. She also shared one which exceeded her expectations. I will give you the link to her video and to a video by Bev Volfie at Our Half Acre Homestead did today. I know today is Friday, so when I watched Bev, she did a video about two kidney beans which she found sprouting in her sink in spite of all the garbage she had thrown at them. You just have to watch it to truly understand the message. My video today was a response to Heather with one book that didn’t meet my expectations and two that did with one that has exceeded my expectations. Here we go: Let’s start with the book on Weck jars. This had a lot of promise. It fell short. I enjoyed the history of the company. That was interesting...

Trump's Twitter Distraction

Over the last few days, Trump made a twitter that has set people on fire. He alluded to the fact the four newest members of congresswomen who have non-white origins should go back to their home country. Well let's look at the ladies he is talking about: Alexandria O. Cortez. She was born in raised in NYC as was Trump. Granted he was in Manhattan and she is from Queens. Ayanna S. Pressley. She is from Ohio where, again, she was born and raised. Rashida Tlaib. She was born and raised in Dearborn Michigan just outside of Detroit. So far we have three American citizens. Even though Alexandria's parents moved to NYC from Puerto Rico, they are still American citizens. Since all three of the ladies are American born citizens, this is their home country. This leaves the only congress lady who is a naturalized citizen and the only one to dare to question the power lobbyist have in our country. Ilhan Omar, she is originally from Semolia where this government plus another which will r...

Consequences of Surviving Sexual Assault

We live in a society where the survivors of crimes are the ones who get put on trial. It should be the other way around. Well, it is. Until the preparator is someone like the Clintons and then the survivor is on trial, not the criminal. We have been bombarded with story after story about Jeffery Epstein and his three-ring freak show of pedophiles. Of course, we aren't supposed to talk about that. No, we are supposed to focus on the pedophile in the trailer park with a closet full of child porn. This is ridiculous. A pedophile is a pedophile regardless of the financial status if you are middle class, what is left of the middle class, then there are the wealthy pedophiles. That is where things get complicated. They aren't the common person there for they are above the laws we have to follow. The laws for them are different. They shouldn't be, but they are. However, the laws for the survivors are the same. They have the right to privacy and justice. As long as the prepara...

Epstein: Patriarchal or Oligarchical Problem

{Scratch Kitchen Update: I had to redo the introduction video into parts. I will be posting them as soon as possible. I am very excited about this channel. I am also excited about getting my car back in running condition so I don't have to worry about stopping Flinstone Style.} Jeffery Epstein is just one part of a larger problem. Instead of asking 'how many pedophiles does the president know?' let's ask how many presidents have been pedophiles. Pointing the finger at one particular president isn't going to solve anything. We need to look at the larger picture and the connection between the pedophiles in power and the number of missing children. Think about this, rarely did children go missing in the late 1800s. In the early 1900s Charles Lindbergh"s son was abducted. He was killed immediately, there was still ransom letters sent demanding money in exchange for the baby's safe return. They did have more children after the murder of their first child. Ba...

Scratch Kitchen Setup List

Welcome to my new channel I started this week. I have been debating for a while about branching off from Anarchy Land and build a channel which will be only cooking and canning. I know we get bombarded on a daily basis with political nonsense. From that, I decided to branch off my cooking and canning videos. I will also post grocery hauls when youtube will let me post them. Here is the list I have put together: Scratch Kitchen Stocking List This is a detailed list of what is needed to start the scratch cooking process. Of course, if your family health issues adjust any and all recipes accordingly. You know your families taste and budget better than I do. So always adjust recipes and shopping list to fit these variables. Dry Pantry Potatoes                                  Peanut butter Garlic    ...

Recommendation for Amy Myron's Abundant Life Series

I don't recommend channels for uplifting very often. However, Amy is different. Amy Myron from www.plainnotsoplain.com has been doing a series called Abundant Life. It's not about the amount of stuff around you rather the quality of life you live. Do you humble yourself before the eyes of our father in heaven and his holy son Jesus Christ? Are you willing to ask him to help you handle life's difficult moments in life? Are you willing to get on your knees and pray for help? My answer is yes. So is Amy's. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCpxvon9k4o&feature=youtu.be

Grocery Haul

Today we did our weekly haul to fill in what we have used and what was needed to build meals for the week. I think Antonia is starting to understand how quick money can go when you are buying for two people and a pet. We got cat litter and wet food for Trixie. Sarge struck out this week. We will get him something special next week. So our haul consisted of two bags of Fuji apples, the Kroger Organic brand. A large bag of cheese because we love cheese and it is a staple in our meals. We got a special on Taco Bell cheeses, after trying the regular bag, I don't think I'll buy it again. Butter, this is one part of the holy foursome for any Southern cook. The other three is; sour cream, mayo, and cheese. With this foursome, you can make anything. Chicken: two raw and one box from the deli, with half fried and the other half baked. I got two Heritage Farms chickens on sale. One was $4.05 and the other was $3.96. Awesome! I will be making a rotisserie chicken in my air fryer which...
