Food Shortages Coming to a Store Near You

 I am going to cover this at least once a week here on Scratch Kitchen.  Let’s help each other get through this by sharing information. And supporting each other spiritually. 


Okay, over the last week we have seen people saying many things about the possibility that we won’t see canning supplies until Spring 2021. I have spoken about it myself. Now, so many have given their thoughts. There’s nothing wrong with that. I have submitted an email to Newell and I am waiting for their response and I will share it with you. Hopefully they, unlike Insta Pot company, Newell will get back to me. 


Countries, states, counties, and citizens are in a rush to gather up all they can. It’s a race against time. Or so it feels. No, it is a race against time. Over the weekend Antonia noticed that people were bulk buying food again. If you are new, my daughter works as a Courtesy Clerk at our local store. Mainly it was canned items like corn. That brings me to the shortage that caught my eye, Corn. Apparently back in the spring when farmers were told to plow their corps under corn was one of those crops. Well, now the situation we have is that corn is valuable. Seriously, valuable. It feeds us and livestock. So telling farmers to plow under their crops was a huge mistake. That was one of the crops. Now they are selling crops to China, and we are facing shortages as well. The plot thickens! While we are told that we are the land of plenty, our food banks are busier than ever. Donations are drying up. And Second Harvest where most food banks buy by the pound from is having to compete with governments, and us the awful consumers. Those of us who have been prepping for years (December will be a year for me). 


Here is the bottom line, we use to be taught to prepare for everything. Over the past fifty years, that stopped. It never should have. We need to start teaching the next generations to prepare for everything and pray for the best.

Who is Ahmed al-Sharaa?

  Ahmed was born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Wait! What was that???? Born in Saudi Arabia…. How the hell did he get to be president of Syria? A country that he isn’t even a citizen of? That is as insane as Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announcing he is going to be the president of America. Actually, I would welcome that. Since he is obviously smarter than any American Political puppet. At least we would be able to have our Christian values protected. There wouldn’t be an abortion clinic on every city block. And the sexualization of children would come to a dead stop. Veterans would be better cared for under Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. However, that will never happen, but I think you get how insane that is. I found that you have to be a natural-born citizen of Syria to be president of Syria.  Ahmed al-Sharaa was a member of Al Qaeda. You remember the pack of terrorists who attacked us on 9/11/. My question is, why is Al-Qaeda allowed to exist if they were involved in 9/11? ...

Feeling Ignored

  I didn't mean to ignore this site. I have been busy with the government shutdown, and I have to say, what a freak show. Let's break this down: 1. There is a budget. Once it's clear that we won't tolerate the freak show any longer, the budget will be put in front of us. Of course, it won't have an accurate date. The date it was actually signed.  2. What are we currently focused on? The shutdown. We are looking at the fact that Israel is attacking Iran, again, for having the very same thing they have: nuclear weapons. We also have nuclear weapons in America. We also have a nasty habit of using weapons of mass destruction. Dioxin was used in Vietnam; it was later called Agent Orange.  3. We are no longer demanding the release of the Epstein and Maxwell files.
