Food Shortage Friday Wal Mart


For those of you who are new to Scratch Kitchen, we are about getting back to the basics of cooking. The kind of cooking our grandmothers did. As much as possible. I understand that some have extremely busy lives. So far we have taken a cake mix and did something completely unexpected. Made waffles with it and mini doughnuts. If you do videos on scratch cooking, please share them. Let’s get people back to basic cooking by showing how easy it is. I also do canning videos. Last month was Jar It Up January, and it was wonderful. Please feel free to go through the videos and watch as many and as often as you like. Promise, there are going to be more cooking videos coming.
I have been going to Wal-Mart all of my life. My daughter’s first trip in public after we were released from the hospital was to Wal-Mart. Not my idea since I had just had her. Showing off her granddaughter was my mom’s idea. In all my life I have never seen Wal-Mart put Clemantine oranges in the dairy section. Nor have I seen them put meat in that area either. Gross! Anyway, this Wal-Mart has started doing this. They started putting the manager’s specials in the dairy section (again chicken, beef, and pork). 
The cereal aisle is odd. They took out four shelves for a huge Cheerio section. Okay, I get it Cheerio is good for the heart. The idea that they did this should make you ask why? Milk had a lower shelf after shelf empty. And a shelf that should have had large bags of rice one was almost empty. Now is this a trend? I suspect its something we are going to have to get used to seeing.

Who is Ahmed al-Sharaa?

  Ahmed was born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Wait! What was that???? Born in Saudi Arabia…. How the hell did he get to be president of Syria? A country that he isn’t even a citizen of? That is as insane as Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announcing he is going to be the president of America. Actually, I would welcome that. Since he is obviously smarter than any American Political puppet. At least we would be able to have our Christian values protected. There wouldn’t be an abortion clinic on every city block. And the sexualization of children would come to a dead stop. Veterans would be better cared for under Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. However, that will never happen, but I think you get how insane that is. I found that you have to be a natural-born citizen of Syria to be president of Syria.  Ahmed al-Sharaa was a member of Al Qaeda. You remember the pack of terrorists who attacked us on 9/11/. My question is, why is Al-Qaeda allowed to exist if they were involved in 9/11? ...

Feeling Ignored

  I didn't mean to ignore this site. I have been busy with the government shutdown, and I have to say, what a freak show. Let's break this down: 1. There is a budget. Once it's clear that we won't tolerate the freak show any longer, the budget will be put in front of us. Of course, it won't have an accurate date. The date it was actually signed.  2. What are we currently focused on? The shutdown. We are looking at the fact that Israel is attacking Iran, again, for having the very same thing they have: nuclear weapons. We also have nuclear weapons in America. We also have a nasty habit of using weapons of mass destruction. Dioxin was used in Vietnam; it was later called Agent Orange.  3. We are no longer demanding the release of the Epstein and Maxwell files. Of course, by the end of October, I am sure this will be in the headline again because one of the other party will bring it up.  4. Prices. The lamestream media isn't talking about the real prices.
