"The newspaper, of course, remains always the primary medium for the transmission of opinions and ideas-in other words, for propaganda." Edward Bernays
Remember this book was written in 1924. When you look at today's most popular forum for 'opinions and ideas' we have to look at the internet. Newspapers, radios, and televisions were used for years to share a story.
Now we have endless news shows that have zero actual news and more opinions than anything. Morning Joe for example. They are the essential hub for propaganda brainwashing from six am to nine am. The brainless dribble coming out of that bunch of arrogant loons can make you wonder how they even stay on the airwaves. The flip side was RT America. They had talk shows and actual news shows. They had talk shows as well. Something for everyone. I enjoyed The World According to Jesse with Jesse Ventura and Redacted Tonight with Lee Camp. He was able to write his material and choose staff that he'd work well with. No other networks would or could be so bold. Lee didn't hold back or pull punches.
We are currently seeing propaganda gone postal. The Anti-Russian propaganda hysteria has caused hypocrisies to surface. Almost two weeks ago Russian Blue and Siberian Forest cats were barred from competing in an international show. This month we saw the Youtube demonetization of Russia-based Content Creators. This is stupid. If it were just YouTube doing this based on propaganda, that would be one thing. However, Russia was cut off from Swift, the international banking cartel. The world's most used credit cards have moved away from Russia. These knee-jerk judgment calls were made based on propaganda and nothing more.
Folks, this is the end of this book. I hope you will consider purchasing or renting this book. It's been very informative. The next book will be The New Confessions of an Economic Hit Man by John Perkins. This gentleman was exactly that, An Economic Hit Man. He explains how sanctions actually work and why they are straight-up evil.
