We haven't had cable or satellite for three years. Seriously.
What are we missing? Apparently not a lot. The revamping of shows like Bewitched, The Connors, and Charmed. These are tired wore out shows that no one cares about. The Connors might as well be pulled from the air. Roseann made that show as popular as it was in the '90s. Bewitched was a favorite of mine when I was a kid. Charmed is being dragged from the grave which it should have stayed. The point is when you have a good show like Little House on The Prairie, don't do spin-offs with the same characters. Look at what made it work and then duplicate that.
Growing up I watched shows like Leave It to Beaver, Andy Griffin Show, Little House on The Prairie, and the Waltons. These where wonderful shows and I wouldn't think twice about letting daughter watch them. As a teen, I enjoyed Sabrina the Teenage Witch. I loved the cat's sarcasm. I also lived and breathed for the videos on the real MTV. Keep in mind I grew up with the first generation of MTV. I loved the Saturday Night Metal Show. I found so many bands and artist which I still listen to, like Michael Monroe, and Hanoi Rocks.
We do have Hulu which we both enjoy. I have made my stance clear about these rubbish shows. Lucky for me, my daughter agrees that most of them are garbage which isn't fit for a dog to watch. So, for now, we will be staying with Hulu and YouTube. There is enough stuff there to watch. We do have an antenna which works quite well. Do I miss it? No.
