We are in the season where the flu can be painful. It's cold outside and people are constantly trying to find ways to stay warm.
To start with, DON'T get the flu shot. You don't need it. I haven't had the flu shot in six years and I haven't had the flu in six years. I am talking about being laid up on the couch for two weeks at a time sick. After I stopped getting the shot, I haven't had the flu or even a common cold.
Now, vitamin D and C are great for immune health. Wash your hands! I can't say that enough times. Try to wash gloves you use during the winter.
Try to incorporate garlic in your daily diet as much as possible. You can use fresh, fermented, or powder. Check out Pinterest for their fermentation recipes. Get a book from your local library or Amazon for one. Also, fermented foods are great for gut health. Keep your pantry ready to make fresh chicken noodle soup and add garlic powder. It's amazing...
Clean your personal environment as much as possible. Let's face it, cleaning isn't my favorite activity. But to keep your families healthy, you must do this. You can buy these fancy sprays. But I am sure they tell you on the label to clean frequently.
Wash sheets regularly. If you have access to your own washer and dryer then you have no excuse for not washing sheets often. If you, like myself, have to pay to wash and dry your sheets, then try to do them as frequently as possible. I know laundry mats can be expensive. Often complexes have machines. Check to see if they are cheaper.
These are just basic things we do. We don't get the shot anymore. It's pointless and they are engineered for the current year.
