This week’s story is by Veda Wilson Fatka of Muskegon, Michigan. During 1937 while at a small college in Iowa, Mrs. Fatka met her husband at a scavenger hunt organized by the university to help Freshmen get to know each other.
It worked. Mrs. Fatka and her husband were supposed to find a clerical collar. They found the collar and once they both had a degree, they were married. This is a testament to how even in the most unconventional situations true love can be found. Or maybe in my old age I am getting to be a romantic. I guess anything is possible.
