There is a lot of debate about this law. Some say it will ban the sale of the Bible. Some say it will ban same-sex conversion therapy.

After reading it for myself at the link above, I do think it is intended to stop the growth of Christianity. Read the first section addresses the sale of "goods" which speak against the persuading of people on their sexual orientation. Now, who wrights about this issue? Christian authors. Don't get me wrong, I have no use for organized religion whatsoever. It is useless dribble. I follow the word of Christ and his heavenly father. Not a human.
The next section we are going to analyze is the part about mental health professionals. This law is dangerous for this reason, HIPPA... You remember that paper we are given every time we go to a new doctor or pharmacist. Yeah, imagine that the very state that bitched and yelped for years about doctor-patient privacy is now trying to kill it. And have no doubt this law AB 2943 will kill the right to doctor-patient privacy over time. It'll start with mental health field and workout wards from there.
Remember Hitler took five years to develop his dictatorship. He didn't do it overnight. This is exactly what California is doing. They trying to erode you right to doctor-patient privacy and the same-sex conversion is a great starting point. The only time a mental health professional should be able to break this expectation is when a patient confesses to planning to commit a homicide. Then yes, absolutely contact law enforcement. As far as I am concerned, they should be able to call law enforcement when someone admits to harming children in any way. As someone who was molested as a child (9 yrs. old), I can tell this shit screws you up for the rest of your life.
Now here is my personal opinion about the law. It's bullshit! Who does the state of California think they are? If someone wants to get therapy, leave them alone. Maybe they really need it. If they decide they want a religious based therapy, that is their choice, not yours. Jerry Brown Governor of California, it's none of your business what people do with the little money they have left after mug them for taxes. And people wonder why citizens are fleeing California with what little money they have left... Damn people. They are being dictated where they can and can't get therapy. What y'all in California need to do, is rise up and show Governor Stalin what batshit crazy really is.
