These have to be the most childish forms of political reprisal on earth. We have seen the last two administrations alone in act more sanctions than any other president in our history. Have they worked? No, I would have to say no.
First of all, they aren't aimed at the right direction for them to be effective. If sanctions are to be effective they should be aimed at corporations which do business with countries who are harboring terrorist. Except, the sanctions affect the average citizen.
Second, sanctions should only be put into place after human rights violations are proven. I mean survivors of a country come before UN and speak. I have no love for the UN. Sometimes they do get things right.
Over the last two or so weeks we have seen Trump exit the Iran Nuclear deal. It wasn't perfect, but it was working. However, based on a PowerPoint Presentation that looked like a four-year-old with a high IQ put together. Then there was the display from Office Depot or somewhere like that. It didn't prove anything. Iran never denied they had sought to build a nuclear bomb at one point. It turned out to be more trouble than it was worth, they gave up. Fifteen years ago.
I am not saying Iran is blameless by any means. They antagonize their neighbors. So does Israel.
If the Arab countries hope to survive the genocidal rampage Israel is using America to do, they had better stand together. Had they come together before Lybia, they could have saved Gadaffi's life. The sooner the Arab countries understand that together they can back the west down. But alone, they can do anything. No mountain can stop them. Sanctions or no sanctions.
What do you think?
